Gluten Free Pita Bread

  • 4 Cups Molino Gluten Free Baking Mix (Blue) - Sold on essgezunt.com
  • 1 7/8 cups water
  • 1 Tbs. Dry Yeast
  • 2 1/2 Tbs. Olive Oil
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. sugar
  • 1 Tbs. Salt

Recipe

  1. In a mixing bowl fitted with a dough hook, combine all the dough ingredients and knead for about 5 minutes on low speed, then another 3 minutes on high speed. 

  2. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface using gluten free flour

  3. Using a knife or dough cutter, divide the dough into pieces of about 3.5 oz. each and shape each piece into a ball. 

  4. Roll out each ball to the shape of a pita

  5. Allow the pitas to rise for about 40 minutes covered with a damp cloth

  6. Preheat the oven to the maximum temperature - about 464

  7. Place the pitas in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes until lightly golden brown
