Healthier Belgian Waffles

Some great Chanukah maintenance recipes!

img Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup regular flour
  • ¼ coconut sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs (organic a plus!)
  • 5 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (preferably real)

Recipe

  1. Combine flours, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

  2. Add milk, eggs and oil to the dry ingredients and mix until combined. 

  3. Preheat waffle maker. Use approximately 1/3 cup of batter per waffle. 

  4. Plate with some heavy cream and fresh fruit. 

  5. For a healthier alternative, drizzle with some silan date syrup.

  6. Weight loss clients- best to eat your waffles with some fruit or just plain waffles.
